These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by Nepal Footsteps Trek, a government-authorized trekking and tour company in Nepal (Registration No: 327313/080/081 | Tourism Licence No: 3191/090). By booking a trip with us, you agree to be bound by the following terms.
1. Booking and Payment

A minimum 20%-30% deposit of the total trip cost is required at the time of booking.

The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival in Nepal, before the trip begins.

Payment can be made via bank transfer, online payment, or cash (NPR/USD).

All bookings are confirmed only after the deposit is received.
2. Cancellation Policy

30 days or more before departure: Full refund (minus transaction/bank fees).

15–29 days before departure: 50% refund.

Less than 15 days or no-show: No refund.
Note: Refunds are not applicable for permits, flights, or services already booked.
3. Trip Amendments

Changes to your itinerary can be made depending on availability and time.

Date changes must be requested at least 15 days before the trip starts.

Additional costs may apply depending on the nature of the change.
4. Travel Insurance
All clients must have valid travel insurance that covers:

Emergency medical evacuation

Trip cancellation/interruption
-
High-altitude trekking
-
Accidents and personal liability
Proof of insurance may be requested before the trip.
5. Health and Fitness
You must be in good physical condition for trekking activities. Please consult your doctor before traveling, especially for high-altitude treks.
Nepal Footsteps Trek is not liable for injuries or health issues caused by pre-existing conditions or unreported health issues.
6. Risk and Liability
Nepal Footsteps Trek will take all reasonable care to ensure your safety. However, we are not liable for:

Delays, cancellations, or changes caused by weather, natural disasters, political unrest, or transportation issues

Loss or damage to personal belongings

Injuries or accidents due to negligence, personal choices, or risky behavior
7. Passport and Visa
Clients are responsible for having a valid passport and obtaining the correct visa for Nepal. We provide assistance, but legal compliance remains the client’s responsibility.
8. Code of Conduct

Respect local customs, guides, and fellow trekkers

Illegal activities, misconduct, or disruptive behavior may result in trip termination without refund
9. Use of Images and Testimonials
Unless otherwise requested, we may use trip photos or client testimonials for promotional purposes. If you wish to opt-out, let us know in writing.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. In case of disputes, both parties agree to resolve them through mutual understanding or under Nepali jurisdiction.
